Overview

DLF Two Horizon Center is a commercial building located in Gurugram, India. The building features a striking crescent-shaped tower with a curved glass façade, making it a visually stunning landmark in the area. The building required a Building Maintenance Unit BMU to ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of the façade and other areas. Appletree, a Haryana-based company specializing in complete building maintenance solutions, was contracted to design and install the BMU system for DLF Two Horizon Center. The system consisted of a single 15-meter swivelling BMU that could access the entire building and transverse on twin tracks, with a standard Appletree cradle.

Challenge

The main challenge faced by Appletree in this project was to design a BMU system that could effectively and efficiently access the entire building, including its curved glass façade. The crescent-shaped tower required a BMU system that could move seamlessly along its unique shape, while also ensuring safety and stability for the operators.

Solution

Appletree designed and installed a single 15-meter swivelling BMU that could access the entire building. The system was designed to move along twin tracks, allowing for easy and efficient movement of the BMU. The swivelling mechanism allowed the BMU to rotate and move along the curve of the building, ensuring complete coverage and access. The BMU system was also equipped with a standard Appletree cradle, which ensured the safety and stability of the operators during maintenance and cleaning tasks. The cradle provided a secure and stable platform for the operators to work from, allowing them to perform their tasks with ease and efficiency.

Result

The BMU system designed and installed by Appletree for DLF Two Horizon Center was a success. The system provided efficient and effective access to the entire building, including the curved glass façade. The swivelling mechanism and twin tracks allowed for easy movement and coverage of the building, while the standard Appletree cradle ensured the safety and stability of the operators. Overall, the BMU system designed and installed by Appletree provided a reliable and efficient solution for the maintenance and cleaning of DLF Two Horizon Center, ensuring that the building remains a visually stunning landmark in the area for years to come.
