Sattva Tower 2 is a flagship project of the Sattva Group, located in Hitec city, Hyderabad. The building is unique in its design with a central skylight sealing that is Void from Ground level to the terrace level of about 100m height, posing a challenge in the conceptualization of a Telescopic Gantry BMU to access the ceiling from below. This case study discusses the design and functionality of the Telescopic Gantry BMU, along with other BMUs supplied by Appletree Building Maintenance for the Sattva Tower 2 project.
One of the significant challenges faced during the conceptualization of the Telescopic Gantry BMU was to fit in the shape of the building atrium, which is in a "W" shape. The design of the gantry needed to cater to 100% access to the ceiling from below, which required a pivot telescopic system to adjust the building's shape for opening and closing the basket to move from one end to the other end.
Appletree Building Maintenance successfully designed and supplied a Telescopic Gantry BMU that caters to the unique requirements of Sattva Tower 2. The Telescopic Gantry BMU works on a pivot telescopic system to adjust the building's shape, allowing for the opening and closing of the basket to move from one end to the other end. The gantry provides 100% access to the ceiling from below, making it a crucial aspect of the building's maintenance and upkeep.
Apart from the Telescopic Gantry BMU, Appletree Building Maintenance also supplied a 14-meter fixed jib BMU with a standard cradle to access the façade of the building. Additionally, a parapet-mounted BMU of 4 meters with a swivelling cradle was supplied to access the niches of 2 meters.
Appletree Building Maintenance's expertise in designing and supplying specialized BMUs has enabled the successful completion of the Sattva Tower 2 project. The Telescopic Gantry BMU's unique design and functionality catered to the building's specific requirements, making it a crucial aspect of the building's maintenance and upkeep. The other BMUs supplied by Appletree Building Maintenance also provided effective solutions to access the building's façade and niches, ensuring a complete and comprehensive approach to building maintenance.
